My Library Card

As I have mentioned in previous posts, I have been putting lots of things on hold at our local library. It is great to get that email telling me that my items have arrived but sometimes that means that I have lots of things all at the same time.  Currently here is what I have checked out:

Girls in White Dresses by Jennifer Close
The Baby Sleep Solution by Suzy Giordano
I've Got Your Number by Sophie Kinsella
So Sexy, So Soon by Diane E. Levin and Jean Kilbourne
Secrets of a Baby Whisperer by Tracy Hogg
Philadelphia Chickens CD, music by Sandra Boynton

I just picked up this lot today, so I have a lot of reading to do!  It isn't looking good that I'll finish all of these in the three weeks I've got, but I'll give them a whirl!  What have you read lately?  Anything to recommend?  And yes...I do have a goodreads account, I just never log in!

Hey there!! Um so I love a few baby sleep books that really give you a good perspective- "No cry sleep solution" "Attachment Parenting" by William Sears. These I feel are the most practicial and intuitively focused books. I've read some of the baby whisperer. It has some good insights but keep your mind in tune as you read and don't fall for everything they tell you. She writes that babies are like pets and they don't really have feelings, they just have needs and I personally think that is totally not true. I try to think of my baby as a little adult who is just more dependent at the moment. It won't be so intensive forever. The more you help her realize that sleep time is a happy and safe time, the better off you
ll be. :) Hang in there!

I love your book list! I love to read and am always interested in what others are reading. I'm the same way with my "hold items" at the Library, it seems like they always come up at the same time - so it's a race to see how many I can get through.

Let me know what you think of Girls in White Dresses. I had it a couple weeks ago and could not get into it so I gave up. But, I was listening to the audio version, so that may have been why it didn't fly with me. I got confused with all the characters. I've heard that I've Got Your Number is great, it's on my hold list right now!
