Belated

Zack's favorite restaurant is Chili's.  Naturally, we tried to go there for dinner to celebrate his birthday.  When we got there on his birthday it was an 1:45 min. wait!!!  We said heck no and found other plans. So, last night we tried again hoping the wait would be a LOT less.  We were right!  We invited Shauna and Roger to come with us and we had a great time!  Thanks for coming you two!  Here are some photos from the evening!

The waitress informed Zack that he has one fun year left.  She says 25 is a downer.  Better party it up this year!

Two Goofs!  (Well, one goof and Shauna)

This is what the boys did to entertain themselves while we waited for our food!

Nice work!

Family Resemblance?

I found this little beauty in Beijing.  I cannot believe I had to travel all the way to China to find this!!  I thought my family and cousins who read would also get a kick out of it!   Enjoy!

How Sweet

Today while grading papers I came across one with this little note inscribed-

Mrs. Pugh
Hopefully you feel better.  If you need something, just tell me.  Get Better!

-Viri

What a sweet student!  I was sick a few weeks ago, even hired a sub.  It's nice to know I'm missed when I leave.  There is light at the end of the tunnel :)

Pretty sure...

that if I polled everyone in America, that 98% would KNOW that Little Caesar's pizza is Hot 'n Ready for only $5.   I feel so awful for these poor advertisers that stand out on the street corner to only tell people something they already know. (Yes, I am aware that this sign says 5.55 but it was hard to find one of what I'm talking about.  Sorry!)

Pizza Pizza!

Opinions Needed

I need opinions...and I know that you have them!  This is a 'milkmaid' skirt.  I found the tutorial HERE.  I LOVE it!  I think it is so cute.  That is, until I scrolled down and saw all the comments about how people wanted to make them for their 4 year-old daughters.  What do you think, can I make this for ME and still get away with it?  I won't be offended if you say no.  Thanks!

Zachary John

It has been 8 years since I saw you walk through the halls of school and we became great friends.  I love all the memories we have shared over time:

-Your house or mine, the party was always at one or another
-The kids at Gateway fountains
-Moochers
-Your possessed TV
-Cookie Nights
-Union 1st Ward girls
-"is Zack going?"
-Asian Fest
-Shanghai, Hong Kong, Beijing
-Most letters in the mission
-"Me and two fatties"
-Footloose
-Brother John
-Best First Kiss
-Movie nights, The Bourne Trilogy esp.
-Finishing each other sentences

I love that you were my friend, and now my best friend. I love waking up every morning in your arms (or, lets be honest, back to back) knowing that I always have you to rely on!  Happy Birthday babe!  I think you are amazing! Last year at this time, I was driving back and forth every weekend 128 miles.  It was worth every mile and I am so happy to finally share a home with you.

twenty four

Zack turns the big 2-4 this Saturday.  I LOVE birthdays and finding fun ways to surprise people!!  We celebrated the first of his parties on Sunday with my family.  There are many fall birthdays in the Galbraith Clan, so we also got to celebrate with Natalie and Ryan.  Here are some shots of the night!

Here are the birthday kids!  Zack, Nat, and Ryan

Just enjoying some birthday cheesecake!  Yum!

My brother Ryan gave Zack some disc golf frisbees so he can work on his game and all the guys can play together.  Ryan is trying to recruit everyone he knows!  But at least he gives them the equipment! Nice strategy bro :)

The big reveal!!!
Zack is a FANTASTIC pianist.  I feel so bad that he has nowhere to practice his talent so this year I gave him a keyboard!  I had been looking for one since Sept. and was dying to tell him about it. I am so glad he finally has it and I don't have to keep a secret anymore!  As you can tell he was VERY surprised and had NO IDEA- best way to surprise!  Anyway, it is a Yamaha and has 76 keys! He broke it on on Sunday night and he sounds great!  Happy Birthday Babe- I love you!

More to come on his Birthday palooza!  Stay tuned!

.pass it forward.

I love that the holiday season is once again approaching!  It is such a fun time for family, friends, food, and gatherings with the people you love most!

This month being the month of Thanksgiving we all know it is about giving and being grateful.

One of my dear friends and old roommate Julie has finished her adoption papers!  She and her husband Lance are such wonderful people and I know they will be the best parents!  In this post I ask that you keep them in your prayers.  If you know of anyone who may be in the position to help them in their adoption quest to let them know.

Lance and Julie are trying to build their family through adoption and they are having an awesome giveaway to promote their adoption cause! Please take a minute to look at their adoption blog (http://lanceandjulieadopt.blogspot.com). Then, make sure to enter their giveaway at http://lanceandjulie.blogspot.com.

Go ahead, make a difference in the world and in someones life- and pass it forward!

Happy Halloween!

Last night for Halloween, we had a little 'Ghoulish Feast' with the Phillips.  The menu consisted of: Drinking blood, worms, spiders and spider webs (dips and pizza versions).

This Halloween I really felt like an adult since we had 5 trick-or-treaters come to our door!  It was fun and I'm glad that I was prepared!  Looks like I will have to eat all the rest of the candy by myself...dang!

After our feast, we watched Garfields Halloween and Clue.  In between movies we made sugar cookies and decorated them.  Mmmm...they sure were delicious!

I think I speak for everyone when I say we had a great time.   Too bad it's fast Sunday today and that I can't pig out on all the junk food!  :)
