I need opinions...and I know that you have them! This is a 'milkmaid' skirt. I found the tutorial HERE. I LOVE it! I think it is so cute. That is, until I scrolled down and saw all the comments about how people wanted to make them for their 4 year-old daughters. What do you think, can I make this for ME and still get away with it? I won't be offended if you say no. Thanks!

Well she does say she made the pattern for the little girl skirt from an adult skirt, so of course you can make it for yourself! Very cute! I'm excited to see how it turns out!
I'm making a skirt and everyone keeps asking what occasion it's for... they say it's too fancy. So I say "other peoples feelings be darned" and just make it and wear it! I think it's cute!

just do it. when you're done, try it on and see how you feel. and then wear it to thanksgiving because i want to see it regardless. :)
I occasionally snag stuff for myself from the children's section of the local Gap kids and Old Navy, granted not NOW, being pregnant and all, but YEAH, I'm all for whatever you like!!!
Em I have a skirt this style and it is way cute. The pattern is "grown up" so it doesn't look like a 4-year old :)
